Geology and Potencial
Juru-Etê lies within the Carajás Mineral Province, in the transition zone between the Carajás and Rio Maria geological domains. The lithology features breccias and hydrothermal alterations on scales ranging from meters to kilometers—hallmarks of robust mineralizing processes. Fresh rock assays have revealed copper anomalies up to 1,800 ppm, nickel up to 2,000 ppm, and cobalt up to 300 ppm, confirming the site’s high metallogenic potential.
Already recognized as a world-class deposit, Juru-Etê is in the process of validating its geological model, with an emphasis on selecting three initial targets for a pilot production test. Its strategic location and geotectonic characteristics underscore its significance in both national and international copper mining arenas.

Sustainability
From an innovation and sustainability standpoint, the project is evaluating the reuse of mineral tailings to produce soil remineralizers. This approach directly valorizes waste, reduces environmental impact, and creates new revenue streams within an industrial ecology framework.
Juru-Etê’s social commitment is embodied in the creation of a social institute tasked with conducting community diagnostics, identifying vulnerabilities, and proposing targeted solutions to improve local quality of life. Among the initial initiatives is the construction of a full-time school dedicated to literacy and early primary education, ensuring foundational learning opportunities for future generations.
On the environmental front, ongoing studies focus on the restoration and preservation of local water resources, aiming to enhance both water availability and quality. Additional environmental measures will be guided by the principles of Real Sustainability®, which inform every phase of JS Minerais’ ventures, from conception through operation.
Juru-Etê represents another advancement by JS Minerais toward a truly sustainable mining model and marks a new milestone in Amazonian mining. It combines high-performance mineral exploration with socio-environmental responsibility, always aligned with the principles of Real Sustainability® and respectful of local communities and ecosystems.

This bird, renowned for its docility and intelligence, inhabits the project area and has become a living emblem of the local landscape. One individual, in particular, can be seen daily flying over community streets, perching on fences, playing among the trees, and interacting with children with curiosity and affection—as if heralding, through its flight and call, a more harmonious and integrated future.
“Juru-Etê,” in Tupi, means “true parrot”—one that speaks with authenticity and clarity of its nature.
